Our Intake Process
We've streamlined our intake to make it as easy as possible for families to begin their journey with us. Here's what to expect:
Families reach out by phone or email and complete the Short Interest Form. Snowflakes staff are happy to assist with this step.
Our team evaluates your inquiry and authorizes client onboarding based on fit and availability.
We review your interest considering waitlist, geography, and insurance. You'll confirm your child's autism diagnosis, or obtain one if needed.
Your family completes full onboarding forms in CentralReach and provides diagnostic reports, consents, and release forms.
Our team verifies insurance eligibility with funders. You'll receive the Snowflakes Parent Handbook in digital or print format.
Snowflakes requests assessment authorization from your funder. Once approved, a BCBA conducts the assessment, submits it, and services begin after insurance authorization.
Snowflakes assigns a dedicated BCBA and Behavior Technician to your child, and services begin. Welcome to the Snowflakes family.
How long this actually takes
What we control moves in days
Reviewing your enquiry, sending onboarding forms and scheduling the assessment.
What your funder controls takes weeks
Benefit verification and assessment authorisation are the slow steps, and they sit outside our hands.
No diagnosis yet?
That becomes the longest step, since Maryland diagnostic waitlists run months. Our partner clinics include one with no waitlist.
What to have ready
Diagnostic report, insurance card front and back, any IEP or prior therapy reports, and a rough sense of your weekly availability. Missing some? Start anyway.
Ready to take the first step?
Tell us about your child. We will take it from there, including checking your insurance at no cost.
